I’m diving into the last 100 days of 2025 with a daily painting challenge using some leftover index cards from a recent project. It’s that perfect kind of constraint that forces you to just start—small format, art supplies I’ve been hoarding for decades, no pressure to make anything profound.

The timing feels right for experimenting in multiple directions at once. While I’m painting these daily cards, I’m also testing out a new newsletter platform called PencilBooth. It’s where I’m documenting this 100-day journey alongside whatever other creative rabbit holes catch my attention.

The newsletter thing is still pretty loose—no rigid schedule, just sharing stuff when it feels worth sending. Sometimes it’ll be these daily cards, sometimes links to things that made me think “huh, interesting,” sometimes random thoughts about creative experiments gone right (or wonderfully wrong).

If you want to follow along with both the daily painting challenge and whatever else I’m tinkering with, you can subscribe to PencilBooth.
