I acquired a framer’s mat sample kit that I carried around for years. The L-shaped pieces represented such amazing color potential for crafts and creation. I ended up sculpting random pieces to create 3D fractured elements.
This mixed-media piece was the only surviving remnant of those samples. I love this work. Maybe because it represents so many ideas that never got produced or how time can polish the creative process without intending to.
